The unbuilt Victorian scheme for a railway and harbour at Holywell Bay.
Plans for the Perran Railway, Pier and Harbour date to 1865; a bill passed the Commons in June 1866. The scheme included railway access towards Holywell and harbour works in the bay, but was never built. The plans are catalogued at Kresen Kernow as WH/1/6521. A developed port, later resort and surviving trains are counterfactual possibilities explored in Tim’s story.
