Perranporth Beach Halt was a later stopping place on the Chacewater–Newquay branch, opened in 1931. It brought the railway closer to the beach and resort than the original Perranporth station.

Both stops belonged to the same branch, but they were separate sites. The halt’s history is part of the line’s adaptation to holiday traffic, rather than the opening of rail services to Perranporth in 1903. Passenger trains last ran on the branch on 2 February 1963; formal closure followed on 4 February.
