Website design & development

WEBSITES
THAT DO

THEIR JOB.

I design and build websites from Newquay, Cornwall, for businesses across the UK. Small sites with a fixed price and a fixed delivery time, larger builds with booking, application or enquiry journeys, and the thinking to make sure the site is asked to do the right thing.

A short call. I will listen, ask a few questions and tell you honestly what I think the first move is.

  • Fixed-price builds from £350
  • Built start to finish by me
  • Free 20-minute call

Who this is for

IS THIS THE RIGHT SERVICE?

  • You need a first website that looks credible and gets people in touch, without a six-week project to get there.
  • Your current site looks fine and does not bring in the right work.
  • Your business takes bookings, applications or enquiries, and the website should handle them properly rather than pointing at a phone number.
  • You want the person you brief to be the person who designs it, builds it and answers the phone afterwards.

If the problem is not the website, I will say so. Quite often the useful first move is digital strategy, and the build comes after.

Fixed price, fixed time

THE QUICKEST WAY IN

Three builds with a price and a delivery time on them, so a business that just needs a good site does not have to open a conversation to find out roughly what it costs. Each one is done by me, start to finish.

What working together involves

HOW A BUILD GOES

No account manager, no handover to somebody junior once the interesting part is over. You are talking to the person doing the work throughout.

  1. A short call

Twenty minutes on what the site has to do and for whom. I will tell you whether a fixed-price build fits or whether it needs its own proposal.

  2. Proposal and contract

Scope, price, timeline and what I need from you, in plain language, by email. A deposit gets it started.

  3. Words and pictures

The clock starts when I have your content. If you have none, say so and we plan for it rather than pretending.

  4. Build and review

You review the real site, not a mock-up of one. Changes are agreed as we go, and scope can change when the work teaches us something.

  5. Launch and handover

Domain, hosting and analytics consent sorted, and you know how to update the things you will want to update.

Realistic expectation: a fixed-price tier is measured in days once I have your content. A larger build is measured in weeks, and the proposal says how many.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

Do you do one-off projects?

Yes. Website builds are usually one-off projects. Ongoing support is available afterwards and is never a condition of working together.

How fast can we move?

Fast, if you are ready. The one-page site is delivered in 48 hours, the five-page site in one week and the five pages with artwork in ten working days, counted from the point I have what I need from you. Larger projects get their own timeline in the proposal.

Does it have to be WordPress?

No. I choose the platform to fit the job. Many of the sites in the portfolio are WordPress builds; this site is not. If you already have a platform you like and it does what you need, that is usually where we start.

What if I do not know what I need?

Book the call. I will listen, ask the right questions and tell you honestly what the biggest lever is. If it is still unclear, start with digital strategy rather than a build.

How do you charge?

A fixed price for the three website tiers. Larger projects are quoted individually in a written proposal, and a deposit starts the work. No surprise invoices.

Do you run ads?

I can help with strategy and setup, but I only recommend ads once the website converts. Spending on ads before the site works is burning money.

Do you only work with businesses in Cornwall?

No. I am in Newquay, most of the work happens online, and clients are across the UK and beyond. Location has never been a barrier.
