Good Fortune was a mine in the Perran St George–Cligga district south-west of Perranporth. Its copper-bearing workings belong to the industrial landscape behind the headland, separately identified from Great St George and Cligga Mine.
The name is optimistic; it is not evidence that the business paid. The neighbouring mines and their waste dumps also complicate mineral collecting here: material found at one spot may have come from another working. Follow the district’s separate mine entries for the larger history.
