Roche station is a stopping place on the railway between Par and Newquay, in Cornwall’s china-clay country. It belongs to a route shaped by mineral traffic before passenger travel became part of its business.

This is the inland Newquay railway, separate from the former line through Perranporth and St Agnes. Distinguishing the two routes matters when reading accounts of closures: the disappearance of the Perranporth branch did not erase the Par–Newquay corridor. Roche provides one named point for following that inland route.
