Explaining what makes the technology different

Alan Harper Composites needed an updated website that could present its specialist closed-moulding technology clearly. The company had a technical product to explain, and prospective customers needed to understand what it did and how it fitted their production process.

I redesigned and developed the website and produced a promotional film explaining the company's vacuum press infusion technology. The website gave the information a home; the film gave the process a clear visual explanation.

02 / The work

Bringing the production together

My contribution covered graphic design, video production and editing, voiceover, audio production, website design and development, and an overhaul of the SEO. Handling the website and film together made it possible to keep the explanation consistent across both.

I also set up analytics and reporting so the team had a way to monitor its digital activity.

03 / What changed

Leaving the team able to use it

The handover included training on the website, social channels and analytics. The result was a set of connected materials for presenting the business, supported by the practical knowledge needed to maintain them.

It is a good example of the work that sits between development and production: understanding a specialist subject, making it accessible and giving the client tools they can keep using.
